Elena Osorio´s house

Elena Osorio, Lope de Vega's first known lover, lived in a building at the beginning of Calle Lavapiés along with her parents and her brother.
Lope and Micaela de Luján´s house
(Calle del Júcar, possibly now San Agustín)
En 1607, Lope rented this house on the Calle del Júcar for two years, and lived there with his lover Micaela de Luján. At the time he was married to Juana de Guardo, but she lived in Toledo.
House on calle Majadericos

Apparently, on this street, Lope de Vega´s mother died, at least this is what was shown on the burial certificate: "Calle Majadericos, at the gatehouse of the Victoria" (Convent of the Victoria, close to the Carrera de San Jerónimo).
There also exists a reference in 1611 to the sale of a house on Calle Majadericos, which was part of Lope's wife's dowry.

Today this is the Palace of Santa Cruz. Here, in 1588, Lope de Vega was jailed, condemned for the libels he had published against the family of his lover Elena Osorio. Many foreign visitors of the time made reference to this building after their trips because they said it looked more like a palace than a prison.
